Pioneer 57, Peru 40 (Thursday): Ashlynn Brooke hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points to lead three players in double figures for Class 2A, No. 5 Pioneer in a win over visiting Peru at The Cage Thursday.
Paula Collado Fernandez outscored the entire Peru team 8-6 in the first quarter and finished with 16. Kylie Attinger added 10.
Brooke now has 1,403 career points.
Pioneer (17-3) led 29-11 at halftime.
Emma Eldridge scored 10 to lead Peru, who lost their third straight game and fell to 8-12. Addison Robbins hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and had nine.
Pioneer beat Peru for the fourth consecutive year.
Pioneer will travel to West Central later tonight.
