Brooke scores season-high 38, helps Pioneer finish 5-2 in Hoosier North

Pioneer 65, Winamac 27 (Jan. 24): Ashlynn Brooke scored 26 of her season-high 38 points in the first half and added 12 steals to lead Pioneer to a Hoosier North home win over Winamac on Jan. 24.

Kylie Attinger added 11 points for the Lady Panthers, who improved to 19-3 overall and finished Hoosier North play 5-2.

Pioneer finished in third place in the Hoosier North behind Caston (7-0) and North Judson (6-1).

Piper Link scored 12 points, and Maggie Smith hit three 3-pointers and had nine for Winamac (4-18, 0-7).

Pioneer led 23-8 after one quarter and extended the lead to 45-22 at halftime.

Pioneer defeated Winamac for the fourth straight season.

Pioneer’s regular season finale against Southwood scheduled for Jan. 26 was canceled due to inclement weather.
