Pioneer 65, Clinton Central 64 (Nov. 15): Ashlynn Brooke scored seven of her 28 points in
the fourth quarter and dished out the go-ahead assist to Kylie Attinger with 14 seconds left as the visiting Lady Panthers hung on to snap Clinton Central’s season-opening four-game winning streak on Nov. 15.
Brooklyn Borges scored all 14 of her points in the first half, and Makenna Strycker added 10. Attinger had four of her six in the fourth quarter.
Pioneer made 14 of 19 free throws, including four of five in the fourth quarter.
Junior Sara Parkison scored 19 of her game-high 29 points in the second half for Clinton Central, but she missed a potential game-tying free throw with 1.1 seconds left.
Pioneer led 45-30 at halftime.
The 64 points that Clinton Central scored were their most in a loss in the 21st century.
