The Caston boys basketball team finished a 17-8 season with a 50-42 loss to Tri-County in the Class 1A, Sectional 50 final at Caston Saturday.
Here is a look back at their regular season:
Winamac 48, Caston 42 (Feb. 24): Lane Hook scored 24 points, and Logan Mollenkopf scored seven of his nine in the second half for Caston in a Hoosier North road loss to Winamac Feb. 24.
Justin Potthoff had 13, Jaybin Hines had 10, and Will Malchow had nine for Winamac.
Winamac led 22-16 at halftime and extended the lead to 37-28 after three quarters.

Kane Hook added 15, Carson Harness had 14, and Gavin Mollenkopf tallied 12.
Caston hit 10 3-pointers.
Caston led 43-32 at halftime and extended the lead to 63-40 after three quarters.

Logan Mollenkopf was held to eight points.

Brennan Deeter scored 17 points, and Julian Levine had 15 for the Kings, who trailed 20-8 at halftime.
Caston beat Lewis Cass 49-32 at Logansport Dec. 23 in the Cass County Invitational.

Lane Hook scored 19 points, Brodie Howard had 14, and Logan Mollenkopf added 12 for Caston in a home win over North White Feb. 5.
Hook, Mollenkopf and starting point guard Reed Sommers did not play in the second half.
Hook scored 13 points in the first quarter as Caston jumped out to a 24-0 lead. Caston hit six 3-pointers in the second quarter, including three from Howard, to increase their halftime lead to 48-2.

Reed Sommers added eight. He went 5 for 6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Carson Harness hit a pair of 3-pointers in the second quarter for eight.
Gabe Scott led Pioneer with 16, including eight in the fourth quarter. Shiloh Rine added 15.
