Caston holds Wabash to 3 hits, but still falls

Wabash 5, Caston 2 (April 11): Talon Zeider had two hits and scored a run, and Noah Herd singled and drove in a run, but the Caston baseball team lost to host Wabash at Chris Rood Field April 11.

Gavin Mollenkopf singled and scored a run, and Caleb Stinson and Edison Byrum also had hits.

Caston scored both of their runs in the fifth inning after falling behind 5-0.

Pete DuVall and Herd combined on a three-hitter in the loss. Each pitched three innings. DuVall allowed five runs (one earned) and walked four, hit a batter and struck out one. Herd walked one and fanned four.

Keaton Fields allowed no earned runs in five innings for the win for the Apache, who scored four runs in the second and never trailed.
