Caston 19, LaVille 0 (5 innings, May 18): Kinzie Mollenkopf went 3 for 3 with a homer, two singles and five RBIs, and Addison Zimpleman tossed a no-hitter with no walks and 10 strikeouts for the Caston softball team as they beat visiting LaVille to complete a perfect 7-0 Hoosier North record and win the conference title outright on May 18.
Ten different Caston players had a hit, and 10 different Caston players had an RBI.
Alexa Finke doubled and tripled and scored twice. Macee Hinderlider and Kylee Logan also had two hits each. Hinderlider had an RBI and scored twice, and Logan also scored twice.
Isabel Scales doubled, walked twice and drove in two runs.
Annie Harsh doubled and walked, drove in a run and scored twice. Myli Rude doubled, walked and had three RBIs.
Bailey Harness doubled and walked, drove in two runs and scored twice. Haley Logan singled and walked, drove in two runs and scored once. Elayna Blacketor walked and scored.
Caston led 10-0 after one inning.
LaVille pitchers combined to walk 15.

The Caston softball team clinched their second straight Hoosier North title with a 19-0 win in five innings over LaVille on May 18. Caston has not lost a conference game since 2021.
