Coffing fans 8, Lady Comets take advantage of wild LaVille in 5-inning win

Caston 14, LaVille 3 (5 innings, Friday): Abigail Apperson doubled and singled and, and Ashtyn Bailey singled and drove in two runs for host Caston in a win over LaVille Friday.

Caston hitters also took advantage of LaVille’s wildness. LaVille pitchers combined to walk 17, hit a batter and throw 18 wild pitches.

Hadlie Coffing earned the win in the circle, allowing seven hits and no earned runs in five innings. She walked none, hit two batters and struck out eight.

Myli Rude tripled, walked three times and scored twice. Kylee Logan tripled, walked twice and drove in a run. 

Caston led 14-0 after three innings.

Caston improved to 3-10.
