Colton Ferverda, Parks combine on no-hitter in Rochester JV triumph

Rochester 4, Southwood 0 (JV, 5 innings, Tuesday): Colton Ferverda and Zakk Parks pitched a five-inning combined no-hitter for the Rochester JV baseball team in a home win over Southwood Tuesday.

Drew Bowers had two of Rochester’s seven hits, including a double. He also had three RBIs. Parks, Elijah Jackson, Carter Meredith, Adrian Ochoa and Brady Gamble had one hit each. Gamble also scored twice, and Ochoa and Bowers had one run scored each.

With younger brother Callen catching him, Colton Ferverda walked one and struck out seven while throwing 60 pitches in four innings. Parks walked one and fanned two in the fifth.
