Girls basketball
Pioneer 62, Culver 49 (Nov. 19): Kennedy Jackson led three Culver players in double figures with 14 points, but the Lady Cavaliers lost to host Pioneer on Nov. 19 to fall to 1-1 in the Hoosier North.
Rose Peterson added 12 points, and Grace Sieber had 11. Peterson hit four 3-pointers, and Sieber hit three. Culver hit nine 3-pointers as a team.
Pioneer senior guard Ashlynn Brooke, playing against Culver for the first time in her career, hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 31 points. Kylie Attinger had 12 points and seven rebounds.
Pioneer had a 26-20 rebounding advantage and won despite making just 9 of 19 free throws.
Pioneer led 35-23 at halftime and extended the lead to 55-38 after three quarters.
