Kiser adds 15, Akase 10 for Vikings

Mishawaka Marian 58, Tippecanoe Valley 53 (Friday): Deaglan Sullivan scored eight of his game-high 17 points in the fourth quarter, and Zion Rhoades added 16 for the visiting Knights in a win over Valley at Rita Price Simpson Court Friday.
Jackson Price added 11 points for Class 3A, No. 2 Mishawaka Marian, who won their eighth straight game and improved to 22-2.
Nolan Cumberland scored 16 points to lead three Valley players in double figures. Tayde Kiser added 15, and Stephen Akase scored 10.
Cooper Walls hit three 3-pointers and had nine.
Mishawaka Marian led 27-25 at halftime before Class 3A, No. 11 Valley came back to lead 40-39 after three quarters.
The teams could meet again in a Class 3A regional at South Bend Washington on March 11.
Valley lost to Mishawaka Marian for the second straight year. They have not beaten Mishawaka Marian since beating them in a sectional game on March 7, 2000.
