Tippecanoe Valley 50, South Bend Riley 46 (Tuesday): Nolan Cumberland scored seven of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter, and Stephen Akase added 11 for Valley in a home win over South Bend Riley Tuesday.
Cumberland now has 995 career points going into Friday’s game at Manchester.
Tayde Kiser added eight, and Dylan Neese had five.
Valley trailed 28-25 at halftime but came back to take a 37-36 lead after three quarters.
Manny Hill had 15 points, and Brandon Williams scored 10 for the Wildcats (9-8).
Valley won their seventh straight game to improve to 12-3. The seven-game winning streak is Valley’s longest since the 2013-14 season.
This game was originally scheduled for Dec. 22 but postponed due to snow.
Valley is ranked No. 14 in this week’s Associated Press Class 3A poll.
