Despite Dunlap’s big 2nd half, Culver Academy holds off Argos

Culver Academy 49, Argos 46 (Dec. 9): Emma Dunlap scored 17 of her 18 points in the second half, and Morgyn Barcus added a career-high 12 for the Lady Dragons in a home loss to Culver Academy on Dec. 9.

Dunlap scored seven points in the third quarter and 10 more in the fourth. Barcus hit a pair of 3-pointers in the second half.

Dionna Craig scored 18 points for Culver Academy. Freshmen Piper Brumm and Valencia Miller had 13 each.

Culver Academy hung on after building a 27-10 halftime lead.

Argos made just 11 of 23 from the foul line.

Argos lost to Culver Academy for the first time in four years.
