Down 3 match points, Rochester comes back to beat Plymouth in opener

Rochester def. Plymouth, 16-25, 25-23, 25-13, 21-25, 18-16 (Saturday): The visiting Rochester volleyball team warded off three Plymouth match points in the fifth set to earn a season-opening win Saturday.

Plymouth led 14-11 in the fifth set before Rochester rallied.

The win marks the first time Rochester has beaten Plymouth since 2017.

Rochester has seven seniors: Kyra Doran, Brailyn Hunter, Logyn Honkomp, KayLea McCarty, Jenna Seuferer, Rilyn Strasser and Aubrey Wilson.

Freshman Makayla Walley made her varsity debut.
