Dragons beat Winamac, improve to 2-0 in Hoosier North

Argos 5, Winamac 1 (Aug. 28): Argos scored on an own-goal in the first minute, and Ioan Petz had a goal and an assist as the visiting Dragons beat conference and sectional rival Winamac Thursday.

Yahir Fajardo, Kenyan Beldon and Artur Stefani-Tonin also scored for Argos, who improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Hoosier North.

Liam Burton scored his first goal off a Sean Stark assist in the final minute of the game to avert the shutout for Winamac.

Argos had a 14-9 advantage in shots on goal. Angelo McMillen had eight saves for Argos. Hutch Martin had 13 saves for Winamac, and Logan Schambers added one.

Argos led 3-0 at halftime.
