Due to ‘extreme weather events,’ girls golf state finals moved to Battle Ground

The IHSAA has moved the girls golf state finals from Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel to Battle Ground Golf Club due to “extreme weather events.”
The IHSAA Executive Committee voted to move the state finals at its Aug. 25 meeting.
The IHSAA said that Prairie View, which borders the White River, was “greatly affected” in a statement. Prairie View has hosted the state finals for the last 12 years.
There will be no change in dates, times or practice rules for the state finals, which will be held Oct. 2-3.
In a corresponding move, the regional scheduled for Battle Ground Sept. 26 has been moved to Harrison Hills Golf Club in Attica.
Battle Ground Golf Club is located at 5505 Pretty Prairie Road in Battle Ground.
