Rochester 5, North Judson 0 (Tuesday): The other three matches that were contested ended quickly between the Rochester and North Judson boys tennis teams ended expeditiously at the RHS courts Tuesday, but the No. 1 doubles match took awhile and required sitting through multiple rain showers.
With their teammates rooting them on, the Rochester tandem of Harrison Dunwoody and Brady Morgan edged out Owen Timm and Ebert White 2-6, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3) to complete the 5-0 Rochester sweep.
Rochester improved to 6-0 going into their Three Rivers Conference opener at Peru at 5 p.m. Thursday.
In addition to Dunwoody and Morgan, Carter Merideth and Jack Reffett won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Tanner Reinartz and Robert Bozzo combined to lose one game at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Ashton Musselman won at No. 3 singles by forfeit as the Blue Jays had only six players.
This marked the teams’ first match since North Judson beat Rochester 3-2 in last year’s sectional semifinals.
