Winamac 13, LaCrosse 2 (5 innings, Tuesday): Ella Gearhart went 3 for 3 with two homers and a double, and Aubrey Gearhart struck out 11 in a five-inning complete game for Winamac in a home win over LaCrosse in their season opener Tuesday.

Aubrey Gearhart also had a triple, an RBI and two runs scored at the plate. Catie Perry added a single, a double and an RBI. Kaya Campbell doubled, drove in a run and scored twice. Alexis Sheets also had a double and an RBI.

“Ella Gearhart had a big night at the plate, and Aubrey Gearhart had a good outing in the circle,” Winamac coach Jennifer Belcher said in a statement. “Winamac had 10 hits in the win.”
