Burns, Kindig, Jamin Trump have 2 hits each for Dragons

East Chicago Central 8, Argos 7 (8 innings): Jamin Trump had two hits and two RBIs, and Jackson Kindig and Dominic Burns had two hits each for Argos in a road loss to Class 4A East Chicago Central Saturday.
Kindig also had an RBI. Boyd Paul and Brady Montgomery each had a hit and an RBI. Kyle Penn had a hit and a run scored. Zayne Ruby walked twice and scored a run.
Argos had nine stolen bases as a team, including two each for Kindig and Penn.
Kindig started and pitched 6 ⅔ innings before being removed after reaching the 120-pitch limit. He allowed eight hits and five runs (all earned) while walking four, hitting a batter and striking out 13. Paul relieved and got the final out in the seventh while walking one, hitting two batters and striking out one. Montgomery pitched one-third of an inning and allowed three hits and three runs (all earned) while walking two, hitting a batter and striking out one.
Argos scored four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 5-2 lead before the Cardinals rallied to tie the game.
Argos scored twice in the top of the seventh to take a 7-5 lead.
