Fishers’ Winegar named to Naismith Watch List

Fishers boys basketball coach Garrett Winegar has been named to the Naismith Boys High School Coach of the Year Watch List.

Winegar is one of only 10 coaches nationwide and one of only two public school coaches to receive this recognition.

Fishers went 24-1 and won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference in 2025-26. Their average margin of victory was 18.4 points per game, which ranked 16th in the state.

The season ended with a 50-49 loss to Carmel in the Class 4A, Sectional 8 final Saturday.

Fishers is 83-3 over the last three seasons. They will carry a 53-game regular season winning streak into next season.

Fishers won the Class 4A state title in 2024 and were state runners-up in 2025.

Winegar is a 2010 Rochester grad.
