Foul line woes haunt Caston in OT loss to Lewis Cass

Stinson scores 13, Zeider adds 10

Lewis Cass 38, Caston 34 (OT, Wednesday): Caleb Stinson led Caston with 13 points, including a 3-pointer in overtime, and Talon Zeider added 10, but the Comets fell at home to Lewis Cass in the first round of the Cass County Invitational Wednesday.

Josh Evans added three 3-pointers, one of which ties the game in the fourth quarter, for nine points.

L.J. Hillis led Class 2A, No. 16 Lewis Cass with 24 points.

Lewis Cass made 13 of 17 free throws, including five of six in the overtime.

Caston made just one of nine free throws.

Caston has lost their last eight meetings with the Kings. They have not beaten Lewis Cass since December 2018.

Caston will play Pioneer in the consolation game at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Logansport. Pioneer lost to Logansport 59-38 on Tuesday.
