Rochester 1, Peru 0 (Thursday): Gretchen Gardner floated a goal over the head of the Peru goalkeeper with 20:21 left in the first half to lift the host Lady Zs to a win over Peru at the Brent Blacketor Memorial Sports Complex Thursday.
Alexandria Cortes-Gustafson stopped three shots on goal, including a diving stop on Katy Jo Kieninger in the second half, for the shutout.
Kieninger, who has scored 17 goals this season and 50 for her career, had a hat trick in Peru’s 6-0 win over Rochester last year. Charlie Backus and Izzy Hook both marked Kieninger in this game.
Rochester improved to 7-5-1 overall and 3-1 in the Three Rivers Conference. Rochester can earn a share of the TRC title with a win at Northwestern Tuesday.
Northwestern, who joined the TRC in 2024, is 10-1-2 and 4-0 in the TRC and has never lost a conference game.
