Gonzalez, Snyder, Hayden score in double figures as Parker earns first win

Girls basketball

Tippecanoe Valley 46, Northwestern 38 (Thursday): Gaby Gonzalez scored 12 points, and Carlee Snyder scored five of Valley’s seven points in the fourth quarter in a road win over Northwestern Thursday.

Snyder and fellow forward Lucy Hayden added 10 points each. Hadley Wise had nine, all in the second half.

Macy Rody led Northwestern with 15.

Valley trailed 24-21 at halftime but outscored the Lady Tigers 18-4 in the third quarter.

Valley improved to 1-1. The win was the first for new coach Rebekah Parker.
