Herd drives in 3, but Caston drops to 1-1 in Hoosier North

Triton 6, Caston 4 (Thursday): London Herd singled and doubled and had three RBIs, and Eli Holloway had a hit and an RBI, but Caston suffered a Hoosier North home loss to Triton Thursday.

Brodie Howard had a double and a triple, and Gavin Mollenkopf, Parker Zimpleman, Tucker Woolever and Lucius Edson had one hit each. Carson Harness was hitless, but he did walk twice.

Harness pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits and four earned runs. He walked five, hit a batter and struck out six.

Caston led 2-0 after one inning, but Triton built a 6-2 lead before Caston scored twice in the bottom of the seventh on RBI singles from Holloway and Herd. 

Drew Bingamon retired Zimpleman on a fly ball with two men on to end the game.

Triton is 2-0, 1-0 Hoosier North. Caston is 2-2, 1-1.

The teams will meet again in Bourbon today.
