Johnson, Shepherd lead Valley past Jimtown

Tippecanoe Valley 36, Jimtown 29 (boys, Saturday): Kyler Johnson scored 10 of his team-high 13 points in the second quarter, and Riley Shepherd added 10 for the host Vikings in a win over Jimtown Saturday at Rita Price Simpson Court.
Johnson’s 13 points were a season-high.
Dylan Fey scored a game-high 14 points, but no other Jimtown player had more than five.
Valley led 22-11 at halftime and extended the lead to 29-17 after three quarters.
The teams will be rivals in the new Indiana Northern State Conference beginning next year.
