John Glenn 9, Rochester 2 (JV, 6 innings, Tuesday): Jay Ritter had a single for the Rochester JV baseball team’s only hit in a home loss to John Glenn at Bob Copeland Field Tuesday.
Ritter and Braylon Smith each scored a run. Camden Zink walked twice, and Smith, Camden Susaraba, Jesse Smith and Grant Reese also walked. Taylor Howard reached on a hit by pitch.
Howard took the loss on the mound, allowing six runs (none earned) in 2 ⅔ innings. He allowed three hits and walked four while striking out one.
Ritter relieved and allowed two earned runs in two-thirds of an inning. Jesse Smith pitched the final 2 ⅔ innings, allowing no hits and three walks while striking out five.
Rochester pitchers walked 11, hit two batters and threw five wild pitches.
