Kindig goes 3 for 3, but Argos falls to Bethany again

Bethany Christian 17, Argos 4 (5 innings, Saturday): Jackson Kindig had three singles, two RBIs and scored two runs, but Bethany Christian completed the two-game sweep with a win over host Argos in five innings Saturday.

Nate Manikowski tripled and drove in a run, and Kyle Penn singled and drove in a run. Jamin Trump also had a hit.

Kindig pitched the first four innings and allowed 19 hits and 16 runs (12 earned) while walking one and striking out five. Mason Hibner allowed one hit and one unearned run in one inning of relief. He walked none and struck out one.

Five different Bethany Christian players had three hits each as part of a 20-hit attack.

Tyson Chupp allowed two earned runs in four innings for the win.

The Bruins broke a 1-1 tie with six runs in the top of the second. They added four more in the third.
