Klepinger scores 9 in Pioneer loss to Carroll

Boys basketball

Carroll (Flora) 46, Pioneer 22 (Saturday): Hunter Klepinger scored nine points, and Drew McKaig added six, but the Pioneer boys basketball team lost to host Carroll Saturday.

Pioneer was held to two points in the first quarter and three points in the third quarter.

Owen Duff led the Cougars with 13 points.

Carroll led 23-12 at halftime.

Carroll extended their winning streak to eight.
