Kroft’s 4 treys, A. Gearhart’s 14 help Winamac knock off Twin Lakes

Girls basketball

Winamac 51, Twin Lakes 41 (Thursday): Kingsley Kroft hit four 3-pointers and scored 23 points, and Aubrey Gearhart added 14 for the host Lady Warriors in a win over Twin Lakes in their regular season finale Thursday.

Senior Kaya Campbell scored all eight of her points in the second half. She also had a team-high three assists.

Fellow senior and post player Maggie Smith contributed four points, 15 rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots in her final home game.

Winamac led 23-21 at halftime.

Winamac broke a four-game losing skid and improved to 11-8 overall. They will play North Judson in a Class 2A, Sectional 34 quarterfinal at North Judson at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
