Argos 3, North Miami 0 (Wednesday): Emma Langfeldt, Avery Binfet and Haley Shafer scored goals in the second half, and the Argos defense shut out North Miami for the second time this season in a Class 1A, Sectional 36 semifinal win at Culver Wednesday.

North Miami was coming off their own shutout win over Peru Tuesday, and they followed by blanking Argos in the first half.

But with 36:46 left, Langfeldt scored first off an assist from fellow freshman Harper Ripley.

Binfet made it 2-0 with 22:25 left, taking a pass from Leah Pizzuto and lofting a shot into the top corner of the net.

Shafer’s low skidding shot with 5:01 left off an Ava VanDerWeele assist completed the scoring.

Argos held North Miami without a shot on goal after holding Wabash without a shot in a 4-0 win Tuesday.

Argos will play Manchester in the sectional final at 2 p.m. Saturday. Manchester edged Culver 2-1 in Wednesday’s other quarterfinal.
