Boys basketball
Rochester’s Paul Leasure and Tippecanoe Valley’s Tayde Kiser and Nolan Cumberland were voted first-team all-Three Rivers Conference in voting done by the conference’s coaches and released to the media.
In addition, Rochester’s Luke Hunting and Valley’s Kyler Johnson were named honorable mention all-TRC.
Cumberland averaged 17.8 points, 5 rebounds and 2.6 assists for the Vikings, who went 18-6 and won the conference title with an 8-1 record.
Kiser, who was also selected RTC Player of the Year, averaged 14.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He also led Valley in assists (3.8 per game) and steals (2.2 per game).
Johnson averaged 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
Leasure led Rochester in scoring with 11.8 points per game and assists with 3.6 per game. He also grabbed 3.2 rebounds per game.
Hunting averaged 9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He also led the team with 15 blocked shots for the season.
The coaches recognized 15 players on the first team and nine players for honorable mention.
The list was released after Southwood fell to Indianapolis Lutheran 97-66 in the Class 1A state title game Saturday.
