Logan, Rude hit inside-the-park homers, lead Caston past Kokomo

Caston 13, Kokomo 1 (5 innings, Thursday): Kylee Logan and Myli Rude each hit an inside-the-park homer, and Hadlie Coffing pitched a two-hitter with one walk and 12 strikeouts for the visiting Lady Comets in a rout of Kokomo Thursday.

Logan and freshman Audrey Ault had three hits each, and Ava Russell had a pair of singles. Lexie Field tripled, and Abigail Apperson and Mia Mersch each had a single.

Logan had three RBIs, and Ault and Rude had two RBIs each. Field, Russell, Natalie Warner and Jordyn Middleton each had an RBI.

Coffing retired the side in order in the second, fourth and fifth innings.
