McCarter, Clevenger win, but Lady Zs fall to Manchester

Girls tennis
Manchester 3, Rochester 2 (Monday): Ella McCarter won in straight sets at No. 1 singles, and Rylee Clevenger won in straight sets at No. 3 singles, but the Rochester girls tennis team lost their first Three Rivers Conference match to visiting Manchester Monday.
McCarter beat Myla Crozier 7-5, 6-2, and Clevenger handled Kate Schroll 6-3, 6-2 to remain unbeaten on the season.
Audrey Bolinger lost 6-0, 6-0 to Bethany Penrod at No. 2 singles. Sophie McCall and Emma Murphy list 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Abbi St. Martin and Savannah Wolters lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Regular doubles players Vivian Miller and Ellie Straeter did not play because they were attending a national soils judging contest in Oklahoma City.
Rochester is 8-2 overall and 2-1 in the TRC. They will host Wabash at 5:30 p.m. today.
