McCarter wins at No. 1 singles, but Lewis Cass prevails

Girls tennis

Lewis Cass 4, Rochester 1 (Monday): Ella McCarter won in straight sets at No. 1 singles, but Lewis Cass claimed the other four matches and the team win over visiting Rochester Monday.
McCarter beat Katie Hurst 6-2, 6-1.
Sophie McCall and Rylee Clevenger lost in straight sets at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively. Clevenger’s loss was her first of the season.
Abbi St. Martin and Savannah Wolters lost 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Vivian Miller and Ellie Straeter lost 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Rochester dropped to 3-2 in Three Rivers Conference play. They host Northwestern Wednesday and Northfield Thursday.
Lewis Cass also won the JV match 2-0.
