McKaig breaks Pioneer record with 77 at Logansport Invite

Girls golf

Led by Mia McKaig’s school record 77, the Pioneer girls golf team shot a 439 and finished seventh out of 13 teams at the Logansport Invitational at Dykeman Park Golf Course Saturday.
Kendra Hanson added a 109, Emma Juby carded a 116, and Kassandra Martinez fired a 137. Morgan Schlotman withdrew.
Logansport won the tournament with a 354. NorthWood’s Sophie Richmond, a Marian University recruit, shot an even-par 70 to earn medalist honors.
McKaig, a state qualifier last year, was fourth among individuals.
Ashley Raderstorf held the previous school record with a 79 in 2003.
