McKaig scores 13, but Pioneer falls at Carroll

Carroll (Flora) 75, Pioneer 29 (Saturday): Drew McKaig scored 13 points for the visiting Panthers in a road loss to Class 2A, No. 11 Carroll (Flora) Saturday.

Caleb Sweet added five points.

Pioneer lost their fifth straight game to fall to 2-12.

Austin Kuns hit seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points to lead Carroll. Jake Skinner added 19, and Chris Huerta had 14.

Carroll hit six 3-pointers and scored 33 points in the second quarter to build a 53-15 halftime lead.

Carroll beat Pioneer for the fourth straight year.
