McKaig, Sweet, Erickson score in double figures, but Pioneer falls to Faith Christian

Boys basketball

Faith Christian 54, Pioneer 51 (Jan. 7): Caleb Sweet and Drew McKaig scored 15 points each, and Brayden Erickson scored 13, but the host Panthers fell to Faith Christian on Jan. 7.

Pioneer led 34-31 after three quarters, but Faith Christian hit four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and outscored the Panthers 23-17.

Faith Christian went 9 for 15 from the foul line while Pioneer went 6 for 17.

Josh Bolton and Connor Todhunter had 10 points each for the Eagles, who beat Pioneer for the second straight year.

Faith Christian led 23-21 at halftime.
