Medalist McLochlin, Riffle, Strasser help Rochester beat North Miami, Whitko

Rochester 169, North Miami 210, Whitko 233 (Wednesday): Led by medalist J.R. McLochlin, Rochester had the three lowest scores on their way to a nine-hole victory over North Miami and Whitko on the front nine at Round Barn Golf Club at Mill Creek Wednesday.

McLochlin shot a 39, Noah Riffle had a 40, and Drew Strasser had a 43. Wesley Meadows’ 47 and Robert Bozzo’s 49 rounded out the Zebra scorecard.

McLochlin bogeyed No. 1 but followed with back-to-back birdies. Riffle’s round included six pars. Riffle was the only player to par No. 1.

Jeremy Stockdale led North Miami with a 45. Noah Burnworth led Whitko with a 45.

Rochester now owns at least one win over Peru, Wabash, North Miami and Whitko this season. The conference tournament is May 13 at Rozella Ford Golf Club in Warsaw.

The Rochester JV shot a 198. Enrique Navarro led the JV with a 47, and Davis Renie had a 48.
