Mellott, Ault combine for 10 treys, help Valley rout Wabash

Girls basketball
Tippecanoe Valley 67, Wabash 29 (Dec. 3): Kaydence Mellott sunk six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 20 points, and Lily Ault added four treys and 18 points for the host Valley girls basketball team in a 67-29 win over Wabash Dec. 3.

Corinna Stiles added 10 points, and Molly Moriarty and Macy Petersen had seven each.
Valley jumped out to a 27-8 lead after one quarter and extended the lead to 40-16 at halftime.
Valley (8-2, 2-0 TRC) beat Wabash for the ninth straight year. They also won their sixth straight Three Rivers Conference game dating back to last year.
The 29 points were a season low for Wabash (4-4, 0-1 TRC), who came in averaging 54 points per game.
Valley also won the JV game 39-12.
