Mellott, Ault combine for 14 treys in Valley rout of West Noble

Tippecanoe Valley 64, West Noble 19 (Dec. 29): Kaydence Mellott and Lily Ault sunk seven 3-pointers apiece as Valley avenged a loss to West Noble in last year’s sectional final.

Mellott scored a game-high 23 points, and Ault added 21. Ault has the school record of eight 3-pointers in a game, which was set against Triton on Dec. 7.

Valley had 14 3-pointers as compared to nine 2-point baskets.

Macy Petersen and Chesnee Miller had six points each. Kelsey Cox had four points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

Mackensy Mabie led West Noble with seven points.

West Noble committed 28 turnovers.

Valley led 39-13 at halftime.

Valley won their ninth straight game to improve to 13-2.
