Miller, Brown advance to regional, but Lady Vikes finish 4th

The Tippecanoe Valley girls golf team shot a 404 and finished fourth at the Warsaw sectional at Stonehenge Golf Club in Winona Lake Thursday, ending the team’s season; however, Aly Brown (front, second from left) and Savana Miller (back, second from left) were among the three lowest scorers on non-advancing teams, and both advanced to the regional as individuals. Noble Hawk Golf Links in Kendallville will host the regional at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 25. Valley already won the Indiana Northern State Conference championship Sept. 5.



Girls golf

The Tippecanoe Valley girls golf team shot a 404 and finished fourth out of 11 teams at the Warsaw sectional at Stonehenge Golf Club in Winona Lake Thursday, ending their season.

However, junior Savana Miller and freshman Aly Brown both advanced to the regional as individuals.

Wawasee won the sectional with a 360, and Warsaw (366) and Culver Academy (390) also advanced to the regional.

Miller (79), Plymouth’s Taylynn Johnson (80) and Brown (90) had the three lowest scores among individuals on non-advancing teams, and they also advanced to the regional as individuals.

Miller, a junior, advanced to the regionals for the third straight year. She was a state finalist in 2025.

Brown is a freshman.

Brystal Sands’ 113, McKinley Burton’s 122 and Taylor Long’s 124 rounded out the Valley scorecard.

Wawasee’s Finley Baker was the medalist with a 76.

Culver Community did not participate at the sectional.

East Noble will host the regional at Noble Hawk Golf Links at Kendallville. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. Sept. 25.
