Miller shoots 37, helps Valley set team season low in win at Leaning Tree

Tippecanoe Valley 194, Maconaquah 200, North Miami 205, Kokomo 211 (Thursday): Savana Miller shot a 37 to earn medalist honors, and Valley beat host Maconaquah, North Miami and Kokomo at the Leaning Tree Invitational at Leaning Tree Golf Course at Grissom Air Force Base in Peru Thursday.

Jenna Prater set a nine-hole best with a 51 for Valley. Maris Overbey added a 52, Gentry Bouse had a 54, and Brystol Sands had a 55.

Maci Parker was the low JV scorer with a 53. Other Valley JV scores included Taylor Long’s 58, McKinley Burton’s 59 and Kyndall Davis’ 70.

Miller birdied the par-4 fourth hole and the par-5 ninth hole.
