Miller shoots 40, but Valley falls to Wawasee

Wawasee 165, Tippecanoe Valley 174 (Wednesday): Greg Miller shot a 40 for Valley, but the sectional rival Warriors claimed the dual match win at Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse Wednesday.

Eli Love added a 44, Wes Parker had a 45, Ethan Young had a 45, and Nash Bouse had a 47 for the Vikings, who suffered their second dual match loss of the season. Extra player Nolan Cumberland had a 50.

Miller birdied Nos. 1 and 4 but finished his round with a triple-bogey on No. 9.

Evan Bolinger led Valley’s JV with a 55 in a 225-233 loss.

Wawasee’s Jay Finlinson was the medalist with a 38.
