Moore’s 41 comes as Rochester takes 2nd in 3-way match at Honeywell

Northfield 196, Rochester 228, Peru 248 (Thursday): Junior Molly Moore shot a 41 to lead the Lady Zs as they finished second in a three-way match against Northfield and Peru over the front nine at Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash Thursday.

Moore did not have a birdie, but she bettered her score by two strokes over the same nine holes from Wednesday’s round against Northwestern and Wabash.

Other Rochester scores included Lily Chipps’ 59, Makenna Jackson’s 63 and Kenlee Smith’s 65.

Both Lexi Haughs and Audrey Widman missed the match due to injury.

Peru’s Piercey Dyer was the medalist with a 39.

The teams will return to Honeywell for the Three Rivers Conference tournament Sept. 12.
