The Indianapolis Colts has named Tippecanoe Valley coach Stephen Moriarty its Colts/NFL Coach of the Week for Week 8.
Valley beat John Glenn last week 39-13 to improve to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Indiana Northern State Conference. Valley clinched a share of the conference title and can win it outright with a win at Bremen this Friday.
Moriarty is 71-33 in 10 seasons as Valley coach. Valley has won at least seven games since 2019 and has not had a losing season since 2017.
This marks the 27th season in which the Colts have recognized outstanding high school football coaches. All head coaches in the state are eligible.
Honorees are selected by a panel of football media, former athletic directors and other football representatives from across the state, according to a press release.
Each winning coach will receive a $2,000 donation and a commemorative plaque.
