Parker shoots 79, helps Valley take 7th at Marquette Invite

The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team shot a 358 and finished seventh out of 16 teams at the Marquette Catholic Invitational at the Michigan City Municipal South course Saturday.
Wes Parker led Valley with a 79 and finished in a tie for fifth among 76 golfers in the field. Parker’s round included a birdie on the par-3 third hole.
Other Valley scores included Nash Bouse’s 83, Kyzer Hughes’ 95, Noah Mellott’s 101, Dane Scacco’s 119.
JV player Will Parker shot a 97.
Lake Central won the tournament with a 319. They beat runner-up Illiana Christian by eight strokes.
