Parks, Jackson have 2 hits each in Rochester JV loss to North Miami

North Miami 5, Rochester 3 (JV, 5 innings, Thursday): Zakk Parks and Elijah Jackson had two hits each for the Rochester JV, but North Miami scored three runs in the top of the fifth to earn the win at Bob Copeland Field Thursday.

Conner Dunfee and Brady Gamble added one hit each. Gamble had two RBIs, and Adrian Ochoa had an RBI.

Drew Bowers started and pitched the first four innings. He allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) while walking four and striking out three. Callen Ferverda relieved and allowed two hits and three unearned runs in the fifth. He walked two, fanned two and gave up a homer to North Miami’s Isaac Floyd.
