Triton def. Culver, 25-16, 25-21, 25-14 (Thursday): Maegan Pearl had five kills, but the Lady Cavaliers lost in three sets to Triton in a Class 1A, Sectional 50 quarterfinal at Marquette Catholic Thursday.
Brynn Berndt added three kills, and Grace Sieber, Avery Garland and Livi Overmyer had two kills each.
Taylor Darnell had Culver’s lone ace. Livi Overmyer had Culver’s lone block.
Brynn Berndt led with 14 digs, Darnell added 11, and Garland had nine.
Berndt and Ashley Pugh had four assists, and Sieber and Chloee Danti had three assists each.
Darnell and Garland had 11 serves received each, and Pearl had nine.
Culver finished the season 16-12.
Led by 10 kills each from Macie Hensley and Addyson Viers, Triton beat Culver for the second time this season and improved to 17-14. They will play Oregon-Davis in the semifinals at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Saturday.
