Pioneer boys drop opener to Logansport in Cass County Invite

Boys basketball

Logansport 59, Pioneer 25 (Nov. 30): Drew McKaig scored nine points, and Lucas Perry had eight, but the Pioneer boys basketball team lost their season opener to host Logansport at the Berry Bowl in the semifinals of the Cass County Invitational on Nov. 30.

Logansport led 13-10 after one quarter and extended the lead to 24-14 at halftime.

Isaac Russell hit four 3-pointers and scored 22 points for the Berries (1-1). Jacob Taylor added 12.

Logansport avenged a one-point loss to Pioneer from last year.
