Pioneer girls basketball roundup: Strycker scores 17, Hathaway 10 in loss to Peru

Girls basketball

Peru 46, Pioneer 41 (Thursday): Makenna Strycker scored 17 points, and fellow senior Kynzie Hathaway added 10, but the Lady Panthers fell to visiting Peru Thursday.

Addie Robbins scored 15, and Alivia Ross added 11 for Peru, who won their sixth straight game and improved to 10-9.

Pioneer is also 10-9.

Peru made six 3-pointers while Pioneer made two.

Peru coach Jenna Hayes is a former Pioneer assistant coach.

Peru led 19-14 at halftime and extended the lead to 30-24 at halftime.
