Bremen def. Winamac, 25-16, 25-15, 25-20 (Saturday): Brooke Rausch had four kills and 14 serves received, and Ava Malchow added three kills for Winamac in a loss to host Bremen in a Class 2A, Sectional 34 semifinal Saturday.
Grace Roth and Kylie Fisher had two aces each. Roth and Rausch had one block each.
Maggie Keller had nine digs, Rausch had eight, Fisher had six, and Abby Keller had five.
Abby Keller also had a team-high eight assists.
Winamac finished 7-22. Winamac has not won a sectional match since 2020 or a sectional title since 2014. Winamac has not had a winning season since going 18-12 in 2017.
Teagan Feathers had 16 kills, Eliana Grubbs had nine, and Sienna O’Connor had eight for the Lady Lions.
Bremen went on to lose in five sets to Jimtown in the sectional final Saturday night. Jimtown won their second straight sectional and will play Lakeland in a regional at NorthWood at 1 p.m. Saturday.
